Coloured Grouts - Grout may be coloured depending on personal desired effect. If coloured grouts are used then manufacturer's instructions for use should be carefully followed.

Grout - It is important that an appropriate adhesive is used which suits the particular wall background and service conditions. Water resistant adhesives are used for wet areas and grouted with a water impervious grout.

Choosing sealers and finishes.
Grout lines, unglazed tile, and unpolished natural stone are vulnerable to stains, dirt, grease. For protection of porous surfaces, apply a sealer or finish.

You have a wide variety of products to choose from and they might vary according to porosity of the material being covered and the degree of sheen you want.
